Xtreme CSC Waterford officially opened its doors to the public on Tuesday 8th June 2021.
After a tough 18 months of Covid and lockdowns, it was fantastic to be able to come back with a bang and open Xtreme CSC’s biggest gym yet! Offering more than 30,000 square feet, Xtreme CSC Waterford is unparalleled in the Southeast in regard to the space and equipment on offer.
Situated on the site of the old Ben Dunne gym, the Xtreme staff and management have been on site since all restrictions around construction were lifted and have worked tirelessly in order to change the layout and feel of the building and make its design as stylish and appealing as possible for the people of Waterford. We felt it was important for the people of Waterford to know exactly what an Xtreme gym can offer to its customers.
Our Range of Equipment
Split over 2 levels, the downstairs houses your more traditional gym. This is where you can find your cardio equipment, pin loaded weight machines, an extensive range of Hammerstrength equipment, dumbbells, benches, etc. We also have 5 fully integrated Hammer squat racks/lifting platforms situated on the ground floor, as well as a HIIT zone where rowers, WATT bikes, air bikes, curved treadmills and much more can be found.
Upstairs is all about space and functional training. A large open plan space that boasts more platforms, a huge rig, more dumbbells and benches, and three 30m sled tracks. It also houses a huge array of functional training equipment as well as more WATT bikes, rowers, ski ergs, air bikes and loads more. This is the perfect area to grab some equipment, find some space (which won’t be hard) and do a WOD or tough conditioning session. We are delighted to be able to offer the people of Waterford this extensive functional space to help aid their training. It is by far the biggest functional space offered at any of the Xtreme gyms.
Fitness Classes
We also have 2 studios situated upstairs. These will be used for a large array of exercise classes that we plan to introduce as soon as restrictions allow. Xtreme’s already popular Polar Heated spin will also be getting introduced to the people of Waterford ASAP!
Xtreme CSC Waterford will maintain Xtreme’s customer-based approach as we have in all our other gyms. We will have a constantly monitored main reception area and shop where customers can grab a drink or a shake before or after training and have a chat with our friendly staff. Don’t be afraid to ask them plenty of questions and get some advice regarding your training. As always, any new members can avail of a free PT taster session to help navigate the vast array of equipment in Xtreme CSC Waterford and extra PT sessions as well as training plans are available from our staff at a small extra cost.
Although undoubtedly an exciting time for Xtreme CSC Waterford, we are only treating this as the beginning of the journey. We plan to continue to add more equipment and services in Xtreme Waterford in order to develop this gym as not only the best in Waterford, but as one of the best gyms in the country
